Li Xiangiun is a graduate student at the Department of Visual Arts, at National Pingtung University. Born with cerebral palsy, he faces challenges in speech and hand mobility but has never let his physical limitations deter him. He lives independently, pursued his studies away from home, and even completed a solo six-day round-the-island trip. Hsiang-Chun participates in inclusive arts performances, using dance to transform his physical limitations into a unique language of movement. His calligraphy painting “Dan” symbolizes his aspiration to soar toward the sun and embrace new beginnings. This year, he was awarded the Presidential Education Award and plans to use the prize to support art therapy and empowerment projects, helping others with disabilities rediscover their self-worth. We are honored to invite Xiangiun to our festival, where he will use his body as a paintbrush to showcase the boundless possibilities of art in the beautiful public space of Taikang Theater.
